Multiprotein bridging factor is a transcriptional co-activator that mediates transcriptional activation by bridging the gap between an activator and a TATA-box binding protein (TBP). AtMBFs share similar biological functions, but have distinct roles in various tissues and conditions (PMID:14988493).
